Below you will find a list of Professional Developments I have attended starting in 2018. This list will continue to grow as I continue to learn. Professional Developments are listed in descending order from oldest to newest.
Leanne Lewis - From Leanne I really enjoyed how she loved on her scholars, she takes time to build relationships with them and because of that her scholars feel apart of her classroom and their kindergarten community.
Allison Dawson - Allison showed me the art of silence. She is able to quietly and calmly create an environment of learning for her scholars. Her procedures were also evident in her class. Her scholars trusted and respected her because she gives them trust and respect in return.
Christi Smith - Christi has taught me so much about the importance of pre-planning and organization. She is so great at preparing for her classes with fun online organizational tools. The way her classroom runs so smoothly is incredible. Her classroom runs autonomously due to her procedures and planning, which frees her up to work individually with scholars need targeted instruction.
Bailey Greer - Bailey Greer makes me want to be a better teacher every time I see her. She is so joyful and loves her scholars from the bottom of her heart. She is able to build amazing relationships with her scholars while teaching them exciting content in innovative ways.
Jill Newsome - I loved watching Jill teach, she too has a classroom that runs so smoothly and because of that her classroom environment is so calm, allowing for engaged learning. She asks higher level thinking questions so naturally in discussions that he scholars at times do not even realize how engaged they are, they are just suddenly immersed in a world of learning, guided by their teacher.
Meleaha Hazelbaker - What I have learned most from Meleaha is flexibility. She is so good at going with the flow and thinking quick on her feet. She does not let much fluster her in the classroom and is willing and able to make adjustments quickly. She has taught me how to let go at times of plans and expectations and to be more flexible.
