Informal Feedback

(The following comments will be kept anonymous due to the notes being personal and not meant for formal feedback, names and other identifying information will be omitted)

Parent: 

"Hi Heather, I want to thank you for awaking [student's name] interest in art. I am a Tyler artist, showing mainly in DFW where my studio is. I also teach art at [local school] and volunteer at the TMA often (I use to work there). [student's name] spent his childhood dragged to every art show, fair, museum or event I could find and be a part of. He knows a lot more than he realizes BUT is usually only annoyed at art.

He came home explaining artists I KNOW I've talked about in front him back when I was at UT Tyler. We had our first fun conversation about how wild art can be. He asked for my help (first time) on his upcoming project.

I'm both impressed and grateful! And I want to pick your brain :D"

Staff: 

"I loved seeing the students work on their art work and listening to the conversations they were having about it. I am so excited to come see the exhibit. This is such a great cross curricular project. [...] Thank you for the hard work a passion that you put into your work and the scholars at UA. We are so lucky to have your talent on our campus and the scholars are lucky to get to learn from you."

Staff (for Winter Staff Member Award 2022):

"Heather facilitates opportunities for our scholars of all ages to be artists with their work displayed. We are proud to see our student's work being curated in art galleries not only on campus but in the community. Heather really loves all of our scholars and prioritizes their social and emotional well being. She models emotional intelligence and compassion through her actions. Heather has gone above and beyond in many ways this year, and we are proud to have her on staff. The art education, opportunities, and support she provides is unmatched."

Parent and Staff:

"Ms. McCullin, We received the nicest note from you today.  Thank you for your kind words.  [Student's Name] was beaming when he read over the note.  I appreciate the time you took to write these words.  It is detailed and expresses personal attributes about [Student's Name] that he is proud you noticed.  He will forever be greatly for your kind words.  Thank you again for all your work and dedication to UA.  I am thankful [Student's Name] is in your class.  

Parent: 

Hey Heather, Thank you for the letter outlining (student's name) and her class presence. It is refreshing to witness the faculty acknowledging exceptional character. Thank you for the support."
